Last night I got the following photo-text:
From Kay West: u o me
Watercolor artist, Jon Crane 's latest work was revealed at Rehfeld's art gallery last night. Kay was there. A watercolor of me. Yep. I'm the teeny black speck flying my hot air balloon over Palisades State Park!
What's extra special to me about the painting is, it was of the first time I ever flew my balloon.
I won't show you Jon's original photo he took from Kay West's balloon that Saturday, November 3rd, 2007, without his permission, but here's a similar photo taken on a flight April 14th, two years later:
Kay said something like this after the now historic flight, "Do you know who was with me in my balloon? That was Jon Crane. He took a lot of photos of you over the Palisades, and if he makes a painting of one of them, YOU'LL OWE ME."
If Kay didn't adore me so much, I'd swear she was jealous.
