Should I Be Afraid of My Cat?

I always keep the birdfeeders filled.  That's mainly because Kitcha sits in the window and chatters at them.  What I mean is, she watches ever-INTENTLY like she can't stand the desire to pounce.  Her tail twitches and her mouth chatters.

The following explanation is copied from here:

Why does a cat chatter at birds?
When your cat sees a bird outside, you may notice it opening its mouth and making a weird, rapid series of meows. This is called chattering, and cats do it in response to any potential prey that they see. They will generally only do it when they are inside or somewhere else where they can see the prey but can't get at it. The theory is that they are imitating the normal attack that cats do when they catch prey, which involves biting them repeatedly and quickly. You usually will not see cats chatter if they are outside or somewhere they can actually get at the prey - then they are silent and will begin stalking it.

So, I was peaking around the corner from my office at Kitcha.  WATCH what she does at ME!

Once in a while Kitcha will spring after me as I a round a corner, dodge off me and race off. Should I be acting afraid? Maybe yell out in fear?  It's strange to be prey in my own house.

I asked Lisa, the cat whisperer.  She said,  "Yes, I think, if you want to play the game correctly, you need to yelp and then race after her in turn."

!YIKES!

As I write this, I inadvertently left the file drawer open behind me.

See what I'm up against?!
